The produce at the Dallas Farmers Market is always beautiful! There are good restaurants and beautiful nurseries.
There is ample marketing at the Farmer's Market. Drive on through to the south and you will find underground parking.

The Dallas Farmers Market has been located in downtown Dallas since 1941 and is one of the largest public markets of its type in the country. The local producers are certified and offer a wide array of seasonal produce, from tomatoes...
In low traffic you can get to Fort Worth from Dallas in about an hour - and the trip is worth it. You will never be able to take in the many venues. I am not sure it is acceptable to have a favorite, but the Fort Worth Museum of Modern Art is mine. Anselm Kieffer is well represented.

Pioneer Plaza and Walking Tour
Pioneer Plaza has long been a favorite destination in downtown Dallas.
Pioneer Era Cemetery: This visit can be part of a walking tour which includes the Pioneer Era Cemetery located adjacent to the Plaza.
City Hall and Sculpture: Then on to Dallas City Hall, designed by Ian Pei, with Henry Moore's sculpture that resembles dinosaur vertebrae.
Dallas Public Library - Declaration of Independence and Shakespeare's First Folio: Cross the street to the Dallas Public Library to view a copy of the Declaration of Independence displayed in an impressive...
Fair Park is Dart Accessible. With 277 acres you will need at least your roller blades and your bike would be nice. You can take your bicycle on Dart! Just stow it in the wheelchair section. Fair Park has the largest collection of Art Deco Exhibition buildings in the world.
The Spirit of the Centennial crafted in 1936 for the State Fair Centennial resides at what was originally the Administration Building of the State Fair. Currently, the building is vacant.
In the Dallas West End you will find Dealey Plaza, the Sixth Floor Museum and the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Memorial. The Old Red Courthouse is now a museum and overlooks both Dealey Plaza and the new Calatrava Bridge.
The West End restaurant and bar area is filled with a broad range of restaurants with everything from The Palm Steakhouse (of New York origin) to the Spaghetti Warehouse to Subway! There are lovely patio dining areas for milder weather and in Dallas that can occur even in December, but rarely occurs from July to September.
ONLY A VERY FEW SEATS LEFT.
Carmina Burana is my choice for the most exciting presentation this season for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Orff called hiw work "Cantiones profanae, cantoribus et choris cantandae, comitantibus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis," or "Secular songs for singers and choruses accompanied by instruments and magical images."
This work sets to music poems written in the middle ages of love, lust, the pleasures of drinking and the heightened moods evoked by springtime in Latin and old German in what would be x-rated words if sung in English. The purity...
Lee Ann Torrans Roses and Perennials:
Fort Worth's Municipal Rose Garden is a National Historic Landmark.
Constructed in 1933, the Fort Worth Municipal Rose Garden is on the National Register of Historic Places and is cited by landscape historians as one of four excellent examples of the classic period of the municipal rose garden, an era from 1927 to 1937.
The nationally known landscape architecture firm of Hare and Hare of Kansas City, Missouri, initiated this project in the 1930's with the founding partner being one of the first classically trained landscape architects in the country.
NorthPark Center is an art destination. It is a wonderful place to see a movie, have lunch in a food court that will please anyone in the family, and demonstrate that art is a part life - a wonderful privilege and an enhancement!
Create a scavenger hunt to check out the number or pieces of art you can find with your children. If you find them all - decide on a treat from the many, many food vendors, most of them concentrated in the Food Court Area, next to the theater!
This is my favorite piece but it can be hard to find. This is located in the court yard behind Nike. You can access...
