Where to Stay
What to See
DFW Tours! Art in Dallas and Fort Worth. What to see and what to do.
The Adolphus Hotel was THE place to be in the early and mid20th Century. This is still a wonderful hotel filled with nooks and crannies to delight.
I think parents often think of The Adolphus as an ‘adult retreat.’ I know children find no greater treat than exploring this wonderful, magical place on their own.
I was glad to see, what I have always seen at the Adolphus, a muddy truck from some Texas corner, being parked by a valet at the Adolphus Hotel! In that regard, nothing has changed.
The Adolphus is walking distance to the Majestic Theater and to Neiman Marcus. A car or taxi will be required for the Arts District. The old Federal Reserve is just down the street and architecturally may be one of the most beautiful buildings in Dallas.
Neimans just a few blocks away and the Zodiak Room.
The Old Federal Reserve just a few blocks away, one of the most beautiful buildings in Dallas — as is the new one.
The New Federal Reserve – also considered architecturally and important building in Dallas and the inspiration for the Victory Development area of Ross Perot.
