David Newton's 10-foot bronze sculpture of a Vaquero on horseback by artists David Newton and Tomás Bustos arrived in Fort Worth June 4, 2012 and was placed on a specially constructed 4-foot high base in the plaza at North Main Street and Central Avenue. Information plaques also were placed to give the history of the vaquero, or Mexican cowman.

In low traffic you can get to Fort Worth from Dallas in about an hour - and the trip is worth it. You will never be able to take in the many venues. I am not sure it is acceptable to have a favorite, but the Fort Worth Museum of Modern Art is mine. Anselm Kieffer is well represented.
