Dallas Farmer's Market
The produce at the Dallas Farmers Market is always beautiful! There are good restaurants and beautiful nurseries.
There is ample marketing at the Farmer's Market. Drive on through to the south and you will find underground parking.

The Dallas Arts District
The 60-acre Dallas Arts District is located on the north end of the Central Business District. The Arts District is the home of the Dallas Museum of Art, the Morton H. Myerson Symphony Center, Winspear Opera House, The Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, the Nasher Sculpture Garden and now the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts. This is the largest urban arts district in the country and has been thirty years in the making. The long term development process has contributed varied and distinctive architecture of the Arts District.

Stephan Pyles never disappoints. It is located due west of the Dallas Museum of Art and just a few blocks from any venue in the Arts District. The McKinney Trolley stops right there. Make reservations. This is my choice for pre-dinner in the Arts District.
The Nasher has lunch catered by Wolfgang Puck and that is always lovely whether you sit on the terrace or inside. The DMA food is ... and I feel very guilty saying this because I love the DMA ... but often underwhelming and cold. Pioneer Plaza and Walking Tour
Pioneer Plaza has long been a favorite destination in downtown Dallas.
Pioneer Era Cemetery: This visit can be part of a walking tour which includes the Pioneer Era Cemetery located adjacent to the Plaza.
City Hall and Sculpture: Then on to Dallas City Hall, designed by Ian Pei, with Henry Moore's sculpture that resembles dinosaur vertebrae.
Dallas Public Library - Declaration of Independence and Shakespeare's First Folio: Cross the street to the Dallas Public Library to view a copy of the Declaration of Independence displayed in an impressive...

Liberman was a Russian-American magazine editor, publisher, painter, photographer, and sculptor. He held senior artistic positions during his 32 years at Condé Nast Publications.
This is made from cor-ten steel recycled by Liberman for his artwork.
To learn more about Alexander Liberman watch this Charlie Rose Interview.
ONLY A VERY FEW SEATS LEFT.
Carmina Burana is my choice for the most exciting presentation this season for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Orff called hiw work "Cantiones profanae, cantoribus et choris cantandae, comitantibus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis," or "Secular songs for singers and choruses accompanied by instruments and magical images."
This work sets to music poems written in the middle ages of love, lust, the pleasures of drinking and the heightened moods evoked by springtime in Latin and old German in what would be x-rated words if sung in English. The purity...
